A leader’s role is to create clarity and communicate clarity. Begin by spelling out the problem and your organization’s mission driven solutions.
Tip 1: Create a short elevator pitch about why you do what you do.
Tip 2: Keep it simple! Don’t confuse. If it’s not directly related to the cause, cut it out.
Tip 3: Clearly communicate the problem you are solving; Internally to board & staff and externally to champions.
Tip 4: Multiply Impact: Train board & staff to clearly communicate the message through their sphere of influence.
Tip 5: Invite champions to join the cause at the end of the message.
Tip 6: Repeat 3-6! The noise in our culture drowns out your message. Clearly repeat the message ... daily, in meetings, with champions and on social media.

All who believe that everyone deserves a decent, affordable place to live are welcome to help with the work, regardless of race, religion, age, gender, political views or any of the other distinctions that too often divide people. “
